The Pacific in December

by hayley*virgo - Aquarius

The ocean in December
is warmer than your arms were in July.
The sun in the dead of winter
shines brighter than the light ever did in your eyes.
I wonder if you are as cold as I remember,
or if i am just still disorientated from all the vodka
I drank on New Years.
I am different and stranger, no I meant to say stronger,
because I have been telling people that
I am not angry anymore,
but then Clarissa pissed me off today
and they all said we knew it was just a phase.
Yeah, my life is just a phase
and I am waiting to grow out of it.
