When you first say good bye You think you want to die. You knew them for so long It would just be horrible wrong. Then you think of the good things you had And never stop to think of a trace of the bad. Of course you think they must not go And this you are very proud to show. As you see the car drive away You wish and wish that they could stay. Years pass by without a word They remain unseen unheard. You almost lose hope when a letter arrives From some vast place that opens your eyes. You say to yourself I always wondered about the Good in good byes.
