Twilight's Moon

by charley, pisces - Not entered

Through this world you’ve traveled,
together hand in hand.
you’ve walked the beach
of life’s great ocean,
ran your fingers through the sand.
You stopped for many a seashell
and started off again so soon,
as you walked the beach on a beam,
a beam from twilight’s moon.
Mom and Dad you often hear
the crashing of the waves,
while following the footprints
that life so often paves.
Laughing with each other
as the waves rush to your feet.
The seagulls are life's opportunites,
pay attention to each one you meet.
Together you leave footprints,
to be washed away to ruins.
As you walk the beach on a beam,
a beam from twilight’s moon.
