Picking Up The Pieces

Picking Up The Pieces

Shall I live out my life
     Lost and in despair
     Is there somewhere to go
     Where hearts can find repair

     Mine got used too much
     Everytime it came out
     Little pieces then fell off
My heart now full of doubt

Is there some kind of patch
     To cover over this scar
     My heart always wandered
At times it went too far

     Silly big heart of mine
     It was always getting lost
     Now it sits here broken
What would a new one cost

I have paid a huge price
Yet my heart came for free
I paid the price of caring
     Now my hearts left empty

I will pick up the pieces
     I will try and re-new
     If I can’t find a place
     Then send me some glue
     Hope
