A PLACE FAR FROM HERE!

by GINA ARCIERI - Not entered

How I would love to turn off the lights in my mind
and revel in the silence that surrounds me.
To wake up in a place where serenity replaces fear,
a word unknown to our hearts.

If only I could cast this tired leather shell,
and replace it with beauty, and wings,so I could fly from here,
and let the wind carry me to a place full of peace, and pureness.

A place where being alone means appretiation of oneself.

A place where we inhale the earths goodness,
and keep in touch with our divinity.

A place that sends me to my knees, as I spread my wings,
and give thanks to the beauty that surrounds me,
to the beauty that is me.
