The Cry of Nature

by Paul Brown - Not entered

The Cry of Nature

Rain had passed.
Alone in the room,
I sat near the window.

I saw trees standing tall,
I saw birds flying high,
I saw bees buzzing by.

Nature never felt this great.
Perhaps, I never admired nature
But now, a deep thought
Had struck me like lightning,
And got me thinking deep,
That thunder is nature's cry
From being unadmired;
That rain is nature's tears
From being ungratified.

Reason for writing:

    Obviously, I wrote this poem right after a rain. I never felt that great before about nature prabably because I never cared much about our surroundings but, like I've written, a deep thought had struck me and I chose and decided to write it and share it to as many people as possible so they too can also appreciate our surroundings which is what really makes this world beautiful and so they too can write a poem they can be proud of.
