The Final Kiss

by Princess_Ayeka Gemini - Not entered

That cold wintry night,
They could think of nothing else but each other.
They cuddled in each other's arms,
And only saw a blinding flash.
The other car's force was so very strong,
That she was yanked from his loving embrace.
Through a painful haze,
He pulled himself to her side.
He crushed her crumpled form to him,
Begging her to stay awake.
He gazed into her tearful eyes,
And remembered all their special memories,
As life slowly left her body.
Through a painful gasp of air,
As the paramedics tried to move him away,
She whispered,
You're the only one I ever loved.
Then her eyelashes fluttered shut,
They shut against her pale cold cheeks.
His lips brushed hers one final time,
As a sheet was pulled over her lifeless form.
As he was led away,
His heart called out its' eternal promise,
As his very soul shattered.
