Society's Plague ©

by Kara, *scorpio* - Not entered

All of the roads are ever-changing,
on highways controlled by society's best.
Although the storm comes and you start swaying,
you are here by God's will. Why won't you rest?

Signs bombarded with people rich,
with beauty, brains, and fame for all to be seen.
Your side of the road is an empty ditch,
with no grounded fence-posts on which to lean.

Your dreams shattered by the common vistas,
and body starved with no emotion left.
For all the things you do to better your flaws,
your delicate sould should charge you with theft.

But once again, you sink into the abyss,
and it's a fond dream that you just cannot miss.

Reason for writing:

I would really love anyone's comments on my poetry....even if it is bad..thanks a lot. =)
