I know this life's not easy, it's full of pain and stress Pressures great and many, put us through the test Many can not handle, the daily endless strife Young people all around us, taking their own life They should be always laughing, active and having fun Not all alone so down and out, to end life with a gun We're left behind to ponder, as we keep on asking why Sleepless nights do follow, for one too young to die I knew a man not long ago, I called him a good friend I failed to see his pain in life, till a gun brought it to end I gave him those silver bullets, to put inside his gun I never saw it coming, till all was said and done I'll take the blame forever, for not taking time to see The pain inside a friend of mine, who had such need of me Don't take your friends for granted, ask them how they feel Share their pain and sorrow, to some it's more than real SLM Copyright February 3, 1999
