Lovely cold Night

by Cindy - Not entered

I walked past the choked daisies and the hidden talent of fear.
I licked my lips and swallowed hard while my eyes burnt with tears
Solemnly you stood, so pale, as the moon swallowed you whole
The choir sang their high notes but the low notes took their toll.
The dew drops danced a jig, upon my soft wet shoes
While the grass bent over akwardly, overhearing the bad news
Your eyes burnt into the back of my head but i never looked back
Somewhere along the line forever went off the track.
My salty hair swept over my shrieking cries as my mouth moved n'sync
to those three words that caressed my soul, I never thought to think
You make believed something fiction yet your lies never told me why
So I believed your mouth because, i knew your heart was saying goodbye.
Then i felt your sweaty breathe upon my rosy cheeks
I finally saw the tremble in your voice but I couldn't hear you speak.
Time froze over, as well as the apologies and the thank you very much
And the serhaps sang about sweet dreams, clouds, pastures and such
I twirled around one last time to see your graceful cries
You were bent over silently, your knee kissing the ground as if it realized
What you needed shimmered, all the gold, how i find it true
That even though there's two's and three's, I'm the one for you.

Reason for writing:

Love and the quakes it causes. i'd love to hear any comments anyone has.
