A friend is someone special, who can brighten up your day
Someone to share your thoughts with, either near or far away
A friend will always listen, to what you have to say
Will quickly come a running, no matter night or day
A friend will always make you laugh and wipe away a tear
Will comfort you and hold your hand and share an inner fear
I know a lot of people but there not all friends of mine
It takes someone so special, to stand the test of time
It doesn't matter if we speak, each and everyday
Cause a friend will always be there, no matter what I say
A true friend's hard to come by, so very hard to find
A friendship is so special, that can stand the test of time
