Fortunate

by Mike S. - Not entered

I have what I have,
I've got what I've got,
and what I obtain
is quite a whole lot.

I like what I own
and that will be that.
I have a nice home.
I thank God for that.

I always have food,
to take and just eat,
While others have died;
They starved on the streets.

My home has a roof
to shelter the storm,
but others are cold;
no home to keep warm.

I have two parents
to call of my own.
Others are orphans,
they stay all alone.

I own some nice clothes,
and nice warm coats, too,
but others wear rags,
and old torn up shoes.

I have a nation
who treats me alright,
but lots of countries
do nothing but fight.

I know I have help
when I get real sick
The poor have no aid
when the troubles get thick.

I know my Christ Jesus
as Savior and King.
A soul without Christ
is a very sad thing.

I leave you with this:
spread God's message worldwide
'cause the love of your God
shall never subside.

Reason for writing:

God inspired this poem through me!!!
