Adore me, I am you or all that you want to be. I am the statue of a deity carved from celluloid by your chisel eyes, polished by your soft, green money. I am a bright light that penetrates the lonely grey darkness of your room at night. I am not egocentric; merely immaculate, or at least I appear to be in the glow of the camera lights that your devotion has paid for. Representing your dreams and wishes, I conquer fears and quirks to show you that I am just like you. But I know I'm not. I am unfettered by the silly fallacies that hinder human perfection. What you see is real, and not a facade as so many unbelievers scoff. Come to me, worship, and I will bestow my love and kindness upon your miserable life. Let me be your religion. People tell me I am mortal, but I laugh gently; I know I am so far above. Mortal, that status belongs to daughters and husbands who couldn't stand the rigors of living with the voice of the people. They weren't strong enough anyway. Because I am everything you want me to be. I am there for you when no one else is. I am a bath of warm water at the end of a frigid, unsatisfying day. Love me.
