MY LOVE HAS GONE
by Richard Maxfield
2-22-99

Spinning emotions racing heart
My love has gone, we are apart
The love I knew is never more
I lay alone on the floor
My mind is racing, eyes are crying
I feel as if I am dyeing
Why did it go
All my love I did show
Where did it go why didn’t stay
My love forever and a day
Forever in my mind
A love so good I’ll never find
The darkness of night
My thoughts in flight
My heart hurts so
Why did it go
The years we spent
Good times came and went
The time flew by
Now all I can do is cry
I loved forever and a day
The unspoken words I did say
The lies and hurts I endure
My love is gone is there a cure
Some day I hope to find
A love so good, a love divine
Until that day I must live on
If I can make one more night alone
