A Place In the World

by Dez Johnson - Not entered

The breeze blows through the trees,
I'm thinkin of everything I see,
A rainbow in the bright gray sky,
As everybody looks with their eyes,
Flowers, grass, the smell of Spring,
People come and go, what tomorrow will bring,
The mountain tops almost touching the sky,
The big hills of dirt and weeds so dry,
Cars, trucks, everywhere,
The smell of fresh flowers in the air,
The colors of the Earth, from sky to grass,
As I wonder if this peacefulness will last,
Birds sore through clean air in the sky,
Animals are free, here nothing will die,
So quiet, animals roam,
This is the very place that I know as Home.

Reason for writing:

I was sittin outside on a quiet but cloudy day and wanted to write.
