Another sleepless night
BY RICHARD MAXFIELD
3-24-99

Another sleepless night spent in deep despair
with no one to love no one to care
another night all alone
another night the only one home
thinking of others that have some one to hold
some one to love and to grow old
once I had all a man could need
a woman to love, my sole was freed
she took my love and went away
what went wrong she did not say
she said don’t be down it is not you fault
with more money her love I might have bought
she said when I look in your eyes I still see
the same wonderful man that was for me
I do not love him and he don’t love me
I just like his company can’t you see
Now I sit alone trying to understand
what went wrong between a woman and a man

Reason for writing:

Loss of the love of my life, loss of my wife.
