In Soft Moonlight

by Kelly Wright *Aries* - Not entered

I slipped into your room last night,
 hovered over in soft moonlight.
I blew kisses and strocked your hair,
sprinkling fairy dust into the air.
I laced up your dreams with golden string,
opening your heart to hear it sing.
I laid upon a velvet sheet,
 filling your desires till complete.
I chased shadows and made it calm,
giving you peace for the coming of dawn.
I lit candles and hung a halo on your bed,
sorry sweet angel no words were said.
For I was only there to watch your sleepy spell,
tossing coins in your wishing well.
So from now on when you feel a chill,
lay totally silent and perfectly still.
As I will always leave a kiss for you,
among the mists of morning dew.

Reason for writing:

I wrote this poem because even when your single that is to say
when a person is not in a relationship, you can still feel like
there is hope for a better dream.
