im writing a paper on the state of modern poetry...
currently, poetry isnt popular in the mainstream of society - it isnt written for the general public...
yet people are still writing, mostly personal pieces for their own agendas...
why is this so?... are attention spans in a visual culture so short that we cant appreciate and celebrate inciteful written word?...
if so, why are people then still writing?...
ive spoken with people involved in poetry forums, posting messages, and sending personal emails
asking for common individuals to offer their incite and opinions on this matter, and get insiders views into the underground poetry...
any opinion and help you can offer is greatly appreciated...
