My Love

My Love
by Richard Maxfield
4-18-99

My love like your shadow, will fallow where ever you go
with freshness of spring, it will always grow
with each beat of your heart, my love goes out
to you and the world, I proudly shout
you are my love, you are the one
for you my dear, what more could be done
as sure as the sun, tomorrow will rise
my love for you is true, I tell no lies
my love will shine, in the darkness of night
where nothing can be seen, it will always be bright
when ever your cold, my love will be warm
to keep you safe, from all of life’s storms
as endless as the waves, pound on the beach
the true meaning of love, we can always teach
as deep as the ocean, as tall as the sky
thoughts of you, makes my heart fly
my love for you, evades my sleep
if only you were mine, forever to keep
