we gotta band together thats the way things go When youre goin with the flow I see no changes When you're strugglin with races the disgrace in peoples faces is tearin me apart We gotta make a change in our daily lives in YOUR daily life give a little here give a little there make somethin happen I wake up in the mornin and I ask myself Is life worth livin when ya dont start givin to the ones you love and the ones you dont cause ya wont if ya dont try Things will never be the same if ya dont play the game by your own rules with the limits set and I bet if ya strech em you can get to them Momma didn't raise no fool Ya think you're so cool so ya gotta see what you and I, we must do to reach them you say you dont care but when they're livin on welfare ya cant help but yelp in their direction and show some affection I wonder what it takes to make this everyones fate you gotta erase the hate cast the bait lettem bite and fight till they bruise cause you got nothin left to lose Thats just the way it is when you live in a world such as this some things just never change
Reason for writing:
I was just thinkin today about all the hate going on in the world today and it struck me to write my thoughts down. I mean, think about what has happend on April 20th 1999. It just goes to show that it could happen anywhere, at anytime. Also, the ethnic cleansing in Kosovo. More people were killed on April 20th 1999, on ONE day, in ONE school, than any American in the Kosovo Crisis right now. Please, take just a minute to sit down and think about how the world is today and ask yourself, if ONE person can make a difference for the worse....can't ONE person make a difference for the better as well?
