In the Poor Corners of New York

	Stepping on the sidewalk of
New York in the Midnight winter tone-
	Lighting poles dimming the 
City's Liberty Statue-
	Around building and street corners
Black men murmured-
	On others corner
White men whispered-
	The cold December winter night bring neighbors
Together surrounding the fire burning by-
	Everyone came in fashion
And sty- 
	Ripe old ragged hats
Thick coats as bats-
		And
Black and White scarfs wrapping the necks-
	
		But - I could still hear the cold-hearts
		Shivering from the street corners of New
		York in the December Midnight winter tone. 






Reason for writing:

    there are homeless people out there.  <p>
