I heard a friend of mine had died… Someone I knew, someone I had pushed aside… Gone forever from this world, gone beyond the stars… His journey cut short, no longer around… Now I wish, the time to make amends… To say all the things I did not say and do… Forgive me my dear friend, I have lost you… I was wrapped in myself and my life, missed the cue… I write to you from my heart… I want to tell you wherever you are… You were a friend, the truest one can have… Always there with me through my light and dark… Maybe if I had been less than a stranger… More present when you were alive…. I would have had been able to utter that I do care… Unsaid many a times, but never, never forgotten… I thank you from deep within my soul…. How I wish you alive a moment, just once more… Thank you for touching my life and having been there… I look up in the sky and I know you are amidst the heavens… Thank you my dear friend.
