YOUNG AGAIN

by katie galbraith (cancer) - Not entered

I wish I could be young again,
Look in the mirror,
And like what I see.
Proud of who I am,
And who I will always be.

I wish I could be young again,
When life was easy,
Friends were real,
And the family was always there,
For every meal.

I wish I could be young again,
When immature was just having fun,
Boys weren’t a big deal,
And hugging mom,
Would make all wounds heal.

I wish I could be young again,
Go back to wishing I was older,
Not knowing what good-bye meant,
And not wondering,
Where my childhood went.

Reason for writing:

The fact that being a teenager is soo hard and i had always wanted to be one and now i wish i hadn't wasted so much time trying to be older and rather enjoy being a little kid.
