A Wish To...

by David M Reyes (Leo) - Not entered

White cold the sheets wrapped around her body
I suffer this heat as the sun sets early
Her skin pressed against the blankets
     The sheets are turning pages

Like our lives in many ways
You and I in so many ways
Lost are the words to say
Gone is the thought that she would stay

I would give you my time
     All my time is forgiving
I would give you my life
All my life no longer living

Words once spoken always and forever
There are things I should have said
     I was only certain whenever
These are the way things should have been

Like our love in so many ways
You and I in so many ways
Now lost are the words to say
Now gone is the thought that you would stay

I would give you my heart
All my heart for your offering
I would give you my pain
All my pain no longer suffering

Reason for writing:

    A girl.
