A single rose-petal falls, swirling in the breeze; then gently goes to ground, right on a small damp spot. Absorbing the dew, which represents my tears. Two Spirits watch, entwined; and the medicine-man chants: Self-knowledge was the key Self-understanding was the desire Self-discipline was the way Self-realization was the goal This wisdom of the Seneca Indians, shows the way and purpose of life: to develop and share, one's talents and oneself, with joy, with abandon, with passion, with the world.
Reason for writing:
I got my feet wet this morning, having a cigarette barefoot in the garden just after dawn. I was admiring the flowers, some of which are just starting to bloom.Birth sign: Scorpio
