Pain

by The OutSpoken Mute - Not entered

You caused me so much pain.
As I see your face with a look of disdain.
You threw me away, like any other day,
As usual, my heart must pay.

As I thought that we were beginning to grow,
However now I know.
That you played me for a fool,
While schooling me by acting so cool.

You thought of us as some sort of illusion,
And because of you, it has come to a drastic conclusion.
You severed my faith and my heart,
With a loveless dart.

I know I must deal with this as I have always done before,
As you stomp on me, while I lay on the floor.
And as my hopeful eyes sheds a tear,
I have nothing to fear since I will never allow you to be near.

Reason for writing:

The crushing end to a relationship once again
