When I am Dead my dearest

by Mike-Pisces - Not entered

When I am dead my dearest
Sing no sad songs for me
Plant thou no roses at my feet
Nor shady cypress tree
Be the green grass above me
With showers and dewdrops wet
And if thou wilt remember
And if thou wilt forget ....

By Christina Rosetti

Reason for writing:

My great and beloved father taught me this poem.It is my all time favourite.
He has gone now but the poem lingers on as he would often say
it out loud.
