Alone With Me

by Debbie A - Not entered

Beautiful flowers in the spring
Is my most favorite thing
Looking out over the meadow bright
They just dance in the sunlight
Busy bees on the petals
Sweet fragrances in my nose it settles
So many wild flowers everywhere
Breathtaking colors, In awe I stare
Butterflies are fluttering all around
This is a special moment, please do not make a sound
I'd love to stand here and gaze all day
Over the fields of golden hay
Rain is starting to gently fall
It makes the grass grow green and tall
The smell of the air is fresh and clear
The singing of birds in my ear
The rain drops on the grass, they shine
This moment of splendor is all mine
All of God's wonders are there to see
Thank you for giving them to me
I love the quiet times, the solitude
It changes me into the most delightful mood
So I shall never forget this special day
A day with myself, alone I say
We all need some time to ourselves
If only for a day to store away
All of our problems up onto the shelves
To let go and be free
To just be alone with me.

Reason for writing:

I love nature and the outdoors. It makes me feel at peace, and relieves my stresses of life.
