Apologies are mere words. They do not heal wounds, they cannot mend a heart, or fix something that has been torn-apart. Apologies are an appeal, used to mask something you can no longer conceal. Mostly taken as lies, or just simply, alibies. They leave a void of sadness and regret, and still are expected to help you forget. Apologies are mere words.
