If They Only Knew

by aShLeY -- ScOrPiO - Not entered

If they only knew
how I feel inside,
they'd know the hurt
and emptiness when you cry.

When I cry, it
never seems to end.
The loneliness inside,
of thinking where I've been.

Of what I've been through,
and what I've seen.
I never knew how hard it could hurt
when people act so mean.

I've been trough a lot,
and no one even knows.
On the outside I'm a kid, but
on the inside I feel so old.

I understand many things
and know very much.
My childhood was snatched away
so quickly from within my clutch.

I would give anything to know
what it feels like to be new,
to the world around me.
Oh, if they only knew.

Reason for writing:

I have been through so much in my life, and have been forced to grow up when I was only 10. I would give anything to be able to be a kid again.
