Love's Amusement

by Annie Paxton Leo - Not entered

Love's amusement at it's own hand,
Will oft time render you void of breath.
The cruel twist of fate, the blow of vanity,
Can quickly reveal it has no depth,
But wills you to want that,
Which upon reflection,
Is electric life, and blackhole death.
With no other agenda than to have it's way,
It forces the most determined to buckle,
And yet those who will fight to stay,
Will suffer for the things which brought them,
To their knees and grasped at heights,
before unknown, over looked, lost.
Yet so in love, and will remain,
Painfully entangled.
