God's Panorama

by Shane D. Moore - Sagittarius

I found a crack in my cabin door,
Nothing to catch my eye,
It seemed so much as a tempting pore,
To let the elements inside,
My cabin had been shut so long,
My fears would never tell,
I'd stay inside singing my song,
Protected as if from hell,
Upon closer inspection I saw,
Although not clearly seen,
God had placed a peephole there,
Where my head and the floor would meet,
While on the floor it dawned on me,
The position I was in,
I became aware of myself,
And the utter filth within,
So, it's not the things we see at all,
That our hearts really need,
It's the closer inspection that God calls for,
When we are upon our knees.
