You wrote the script, on the pages of life; wielded the dagger, the pen and the knife. Cut down the jungle, of weeds in my mind, unerringly accurate, though 'tis said love is blind. Worded the players, and crafted the plots, unravelled those thoughts, that were tied up in knots. Stabbed at the beast, caught him right in the heart, destroyed all the reasons, that could keep us apart. Love gave you the right, to act as you did, we put out the baggage, and closed down the lid. And now that it's over, real life can begin, as in all the best stories, it's just win win win. Together in words, we now harmonise in rhyme, to help us move forward, and while away the time. For that day will dawn, and it can't come too soon, when I'll be your sun, and you'll be my moon. We'll posess all the starts, that the heavens present, and fulfill our promises, as has always been meant. We'll traverse this world, and all it's living things, and show of the joys, that our true love us brings. We never be finished, as our love won't die, It will shine on much longer, than just you or I. How has it happened, that we've come to this ? It has happened for Love, which is why we exist.
Reason for writing:
I saw Shakespeare in Love yesterday, as a Father's day treat, with my youngest son and daughter. It was my daughter's choice. I was inspired by the film, which gave me insights to my own love affair. I was also inspired by the wonderful Elvis Costello record "She", which features in "Notting Hill". This is dedicated to the one I love - she knows who she is, but of course, I don't. I know her mind, her spirit and her beauty, and I feel her love. But I don't know who she is, where she is, or what she looks like. Every time I try and hang a name on her, I get disappointed. I have some clues, but more importantly, my patience. An endless love, requires endless patience. I know one day, we will be together.Birth sign: Scorpio
