Out Into The Pasture

by Ann Lanworth - Libra

One fine day out in the pasture
I saddle my horse creme et blanc
And gallop at a leisurely pace
Enjoying the morning air.

There is no one in sight
And the day is mine
Blue skies with white clouds
And pasture rich and moist.

There are trees in the distance
A mountain range or two
There is minute activity;
A forest dweller or two.

I ride for a while
Whistling softly a lyric
And ride to pasture home
And a refreshment or two.

Reason for writing:

    I was interested in taking a country drive yet I was busy. It may be appropriate for a child.
