In your eyes…. I see the light, I sense the calm … The strength I need, The warmth I seek… In your eyes…. I feel the truth, I have no fear… No longer am I scared of the morrow… No longer will I run from sorrow… In your eyes… I perceive not my life but ours, I will not fight… I witness the future, look ahead and not back… My time has come, strength I no longer lack… In your eyes… I sense this new me, different yet still unchanged… I am this being, whole and complete… Never needing nor wanting, total and replete… In your eyes… I know my heart will heal, it shall be whole… There is the promise of love, lasting and true… The hope of spending the rest of my days with you… Danielle McHenry
