The Love of God

by Rod - Scorpio

Walking on the beach one day,
hearing silent shouts of great dismay.
Saw me drowning in my sea of shame,
knowing that I was not to blame.

Saw my spirit bob beneath the waves,
threw me out the belt, that saves.
Pulled so hard, and took the strain,
life will never be the same again.

An impossible rescue,
without rope, without hope.
You threw me love,
which could not stretch,
unless joined by mine.
And it was.
And it is.
And it will be.
As it was in the beginning,
so shall it be in the end.
