Lost Love

Lost Love

Here I am thinking that you cared.
Wasting my time, on something that was nothing.
I waited for you with such anticipation .
Thinking that you would be there.

Now I know that you fooled me.
My heart has bled all that it could.
Yet I still feel like I would do anything for you.
But you don’t care and you will never see.
What you actually meant to me.

I walk the lines to loneliness.
As you walk the lines to your happiness.
‘Cuz you have never really experienced the pain yet to come.
And you won’t, until you realize what you have done.

Reason for writing:

I wrote this poem because, I told someone who I cared about deeply how I felt, and it he led me on to think he loved me back, and it turned out he was in love with someone else, so this poem is really about, pouring your heart out and the other person, not realizing what you would do for them, and in the future, it will all come back to them.
