I have come to the realization That I really do need some patience Because this life is far too hard And I'll always need Your love to hold me in Please don't ever let me go Even if I kick against this love You have I know You know I really do want it Cause my very life depends on it But my stubborness gets in the view Please clear out all these human ambitions Shove this sinful nature far down Until all I can see is Your love All I can see is Your healing grace Cover me with Your mercy Now and forever and I'll never let go Because I want to live with passion I want to live on the very edge.
Reason for writing:
This was just an expression of my desire to hold on to God while He holds me close to Him and His love. My natural nature kicks against it -- I want to do things my own way. But in order to live on the edge of life and have the passion of Christ, we must surrender and be held in.
