I Lost What I Never Had

by S.M. Scott - Capricorn

I sit here alone
Her picture on my mind
Searching for the future
In a slow rewind
Seeing the beauty
Of another's love
Wanting jsut to know
What he knows above
Yet waiting in this present
looking for a way
He knows not her not
And I not what to say
But I see it in her
The twinkle in her eye
But her not being here
Makes me want to cry
And though I want to wait
'Til she can be here
The loss of her heart
Is all that I fear

Reason for writing:

This is about the realization that I may never get a chance with a wonderful girl, because she has a boyfriend that she loves and it hurts to never have that chance to truly know.
