by Poetry_n_Motion - Pisces

Daughter of mine, my soul my heart
words were said and now we are apart.

If you could only feel my pain
you'd swallow selfish pride and
come home again.

How my heart aches and longs for you
My soul screams,"What did I do God,
What did I do"?

What have I done to deserve this pain?
Baby girl, please come home again.

At night I lay awake and cry
I pray that in God's Angel's arms
you'll lie.

Keep her safe Lord, Keep her warm
Until she's back here in my arms.

Yesterday you were my little one
I turned around and you were gone
I wish that your hearts eyes could
only see
just how much you mean to me

Oh little one of mine
I pray you will understand in time
What it means to be a Mother
One who loves you like no other.

Reason for writing:

I know all parents of teenagers have felt this way at some point and time
