Bobby, how I worshipped you, I gave my son your name. The beauty of your intellect, was clear within your game. But then you stopped, and so did I and you never did explain. Your rantings and your ravings, seemed to say you'd gone insane. I wonder how it came to pass, your spirit got so weak. Maybe it was, a lesson to, be humble and be meek. You left us all, a legacy, of brilliance in your games. But from your words, you lost your God, and I guess that all explains. I hope and pray, that one fine day, and long before you die; You make your peace, and seek your ease, with the player in the sky.
Reason for writing:
Dedicated to the greatest of all Chess Players, Robert James Fischer. I hero worshipped him when I was young, and his games were almost divine. He also had great fighting spirit, and beat all the odds. Then he sadly seemed to lose his marbles, and couldn't play anymore. He had a great gift, and for a while, he shared it with all of us. I often think of him.Birth sign: Scorpio
