"Demon and the Depths of My Heart"

by Shane D. Moore - Sagittarius

Gazing out my cottage window,
I sense , I feel , I know,
An evil presence in the woods,
Searching to and fro.
A demon’s spirit hath ascended ,
From hell’s abyss below.

The oft blue sky is pallid gray,
 The trees, barren and still,
Demon decides himself to stay,
And take my heart to kill.

Demon was never invited,
An accursed rogue was he,
He rapidly incited,
Depression to smother me.

He then began to rant and rave,
And then began to leer,
My weary heart he sought to take,
And fill it full of fear.

While choosing what grief to make,
He opened my heart and pressed,
To rip apart, my sorrowful heart,
 But found himself depressed !

What depths of unknown pain,
Could fill such demon with dread ?,
Only Anguish could explain,
My heart, already dead.

Reason for writing:

Sometimes I wonder if Satan himself looked in to the
sadness of someone's heart, that he, evil himself would
find himself depressed. Of course that would never happen,
but I thought it would make an interesting topic.
