Just last night I caught a shooting star With my tongue. I was lucky Those around me All standing mouth open tongue out Congradulated me. Bitterly. And I carried my prize away In the dark. alone. To show off to others With all their jealous stares Piercing behind me. As I step delicately Ignoring the little holes In the air around me Created by their eyes. My fallen star Clasped tightly in My hand.
Reason for writing:
I attended a writing workshop today at the local library, and one of the excersises we did was to write about something you 'wouldn't normally catch with your tongue' and to play with the puncuation. i couldn't think of a title, lol :) hope you weren't let down. write me :)
