In Reality

by Sarah Hickey - Aries

I am sorry that I hurt you,
I am sorry that you cried.
I am sorry for all I've done,
I am sorry that I've lied.
For when you say you hate me,
It really does hurt,
I may say, "I don't care"
But, in reality, I feel like dirt.
My mind says to ignore it,
but my heart breaks when it's said.
I'm crying on the inside,
I'm waiting to be led.
For I don't know where to go,
and I don't know what to do,
I'm thinking I should just leave,
but how can I do that to you?
Please forgive me for what I've done,
For it I did not mean to do.
And I'm sorry,
I love you.

Reason for writing:

I had gotten in a fight with my sister and she said she hated me and wished I was dead. So I wrote this poem for her and was going to give it to her, but I never.
