I used to think not possible, that I could make a friend, who came from deep inside of me, with warmth she'd always lend. But then one day, a girl I know, shared all her thoughts with me, she showed concern for how I felt, and cared for how I'd be. We laugh, we talk, we have some fun, and sometimes we're alike. At other times, our differences, most suddenly will strike. But most surprising, I have found, is that this friend I made, is one, in fact, I did create, who's warmth can never fade. I made her many years ago, but viewed her as my child, I called her daughter, first born one, I see I've been beguiled. I should have known she'd be much more, than just my little girl. She is the sand placed in a clam, who turned into a pearl.
Reason for writing:
My eldest daughter inspires me with her every breath.
