You helped me be my own person and like who I am You were there to help me through when no one gave a damn. I could count on you to be there, no matter what you had to do I have been waiting for my angel, and now I know it's you. The hope you gave, the love you showed, it all adds up to me The praise you gave, the wisdom you shared, it helped to set me free. Now I've found my angel and I'm asking that you stay Now I'm going to tell you, you're needed every night and day. You're with me everyday, whether we're near or far You're my angel listening closely, as I wish upon a star. As I let you know I love you, I hope you will not cry As I go away for now, I'm going to say a last good-bye.
Reason for writing:
I wrote this poem for my volleyball coach in high school. Mrs. Deer, you truly are my angel, and I thank God every day that you're in my life.. Thank you for everything, but mostly for caring about me.. I love you.
