by drew - Taurus

It took quite a while fore I took the advice
Just a petty note within my mind, found it twice
Along a lane of sand which I suppose I've forgotten,
Footprints within my mind's troubled remains, rotten
Since the afternoon the fallen leaves were begotten.

The first was a trial, the next a hopeful attempt
The first was a time out of mind sad event.
The second a strange encounter with a former past
Better than expected, yet non-existant at last
I can show how time dilated and elapsed.

Quietly mannered was her way, yet she blended
With everyone else, opposites ammended.
The time is never to be in my open hands
How I rue, sometimes strangely, the hourglass sands
That vision turned toward my eyes, contraband.

Here in this space I've been touched by death
Touch it, feel it, the debilitating breath,
A void not content with simply stealing sleep
From my night, I can't remember how to keep.
Somehow music is costly, and friends seem so cheap.

Melody, rhythm and lush harmonies
Are the locks to my mind, pressing play is the key.
Surrounding like a sphere, intersecting in the middle
Making mind grow deep and ears become little;
Music's more than an art yet less than a riddle...

Reason for writing:

    Screw long term relationships...trust music.
