time's voice

by drew - Taurus

You are the silence which slips from my tongue
Reminding my tears that I am still young
The liberty which you have offered to me
Which came from you is what I will need
When the ladder of time soon bends to its’ knee
Then you will know what my empty eyes see.

Debates I have fought with the cavernous moon
Will be made known to you painfully soon
To win not the point, understanding’s the key
To walking this mutual eternity
The sad deviation from my ancient course
Just another smirk added to my driving force.

The question I’ve asked myself more than I’ve cried is
I’ve just gone through hell, why can’t decide?
And to files the holes I’ve found in my mind
I use excuses I’ve heard from my kind
“And yet I find repeting in my head
If must be alone, I’d feel better dead.”

A lonely traveller now stands by the road
Shaken by what hs kindly dreams showed
Hating his thoughts and rueing his heart
Praying that he can make a new start;
You are the prayer which I say when I pray
To the seventeen moons of Kunga del Rei.

Reason for writing:

Some personal stuff...but the last line is based on an ICP lyric, just to let you know.
