As the pain deepens within,
The tears fall silently,
As they softly fill my heart,
They blind my eyes,
Drowning my life.

Whispering within,
A never fading dream,
Fading away,
Taking you from my life,
From my heart’s embrace.

Each breath is deeper,
Into an empty feeling,
There is no leaving,
The tears behind,
Touching the soul so unkind.

Silently I wait for you,
Knowing that you will never be here,
As I cry each tear.
Loneliness in my life,
As each tear falls silently.

Reason for writing:

    Each time I cry. I think of the love that I have lost.
