For Being So Cheap

by Victorine - Gemini

You go to see what the Salvation Army has to sell,
if they were real you'd be their best general,
it's hard to compete when your ecstasy,
is hanging out and shopping at the Dollar Tree.

Some people say you're mighty thrifty,
can get a full tank of gas for a dollar fifty,
it's not because you don't have the money to burn,
but a penny saved is a penny earned.

Sometimes I think about getting a new honey,
because you spend all your time counting your money,
but then at night when we go to sleep,
it's just a trade off for being so cheap.

You make sure I clean every last morsel from my plate,
I sit alone while you go fill out your rebates,
for the dryer, the blender, the washing machine,
your still the finest guy I've ever seen.

Some women have tons of shoes I dont have many,
all because you have to save every penny,
for what I'm not sure why
only if it's on sale can we buy.

Sometimes I think about trading you in,
because I didn't like that last bargain,
but then at night when we go to sleep,
I still love you for being so cheap.

One day you took that final splurge,
and did something that was unheard,
put down the payment on that diamond ring,
and that made up for everything.

Sometimes I think about kicking your ass,
all because I want to start shopping at Saks,
but then at night when we go to sleep,
I'm wild about you for being so cheap.
